Day 1: Welcome to Tokyo

Konnichiwa, Japan! Arrive in Tokyo, meet the Fashion Mentor group and settle in after your international flight.

Day 7: Japanese Fashion Past + Present

Bring the week full circle with a deeper look into Japanese fashion history and design before celebrating our final night together.

Day 2: Tokyo Through the Lens of Fashion

Discover the neighborhoods that have helped shape Tokyo’s global fashion identity including the iconic Harajuku district with a local guide who knows the best of the best in these areas. We’ll explore the contrast between youth culture, luxury, streetwear and Japanese style while learning the stories behind some of the city’s most influential fashion districts.

Day 4: Tokyo to Kyoto

Trade Tokyo’s electric, modern energy for the historic beauty of Kyoto. Travel aboard Japan’s iconic bullet train and experience one of the country’s most recognizable landmarks before exploring Kyoto’s rich textile heritage.

  • Visit Fushimi Inari and its famous vermilion torii gates

  • Kyoto textile and weaving heritage experience

  • Explore traditional Japanese craftsmanship and kimono culture

Tonight: Free evening in Kyoto.

Day 6: Explore Japan Your Way

Today is completely yours.

Shop vintage, visit Mt. Fuji, take a sushi-making class, feed your anime obsession with a Ghibli Museum visit o , explore more of Tokyo via Mario Kart or check something off your personal Japan bucket list.

We’ll also provide recommendations to help you make the most of your free day.

Day 8: Sayonara, Japan

Enjoy your final breakfast before checking out and heading to the airport.

Day 3: Japanese Denim Day

Go deeper into one of Japan’s most recognizable textile traditions. Start the day learning the art of Japanese indigo dyeing before hopping on the train and heading outside Tokyo for an afternoon by the coast.

Today’s included experiences

  • Japanese Shibori indigo-dyeing experience

  • Create your own dyed piece to take home

  • Travel to Enoshima via train

  • Visit Shonan Denim Street

  • Try the famous blue denim soft serve ice cream

  • Free time to explore Enoshima, local shops and the waterfront

Return to Tokyo later that evening.

Day 5: Discover Kyoto

Spend another day immersed in the traditions, neighborhoods and craftsmanship that make Kyoto unlike anywhere else in Japan.

Today’s included experiences may include

  • A curated Kyoto cultural experience

  • Traditional fashion, textile or artisan experience

  • Time to explore one of Kyoto’s historic neighborhoods

Later that afternoon, we’ll return to Tokyo aboard the bullet train.

Tonight: Free evening in Tokyo.

Prices are based on double occupancy. This means you will be paired with another solo traveler or a friend of your choice.
